The South Australian Museum has held world-class collections of natural history and cultural collection for nearly a century.

With over 3,000 artifacts on display and the culturally significant Yuendumu Doors, the Museum is the world's largest collection of Australian Aboriginal cultural material.

Using touch screens, interactive elements and a wealth of information, the South Australian Biodiversity Gallery brings to life the land and marine wildlife of South Australia.

Among the other galleries, you can find Pacific Cultures, Megafauna, Opalised Fossils, Polar, Ediacaran, Minerals, and the Ancient Egyptian Room.

Taking pride of place on level one, the popular Discovery Centre includes a wealth of materials and direct access to the exhibitions; staff members offer guidance with identifying them and studying the exhibitions.

The Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year, and unmissable summer blockbuster events are just a few of the impressive dynamic exhibitions.
